Motivating & Inspiring

As a corporate or strategic leader you have a key role in developing a vision which inspires the people who use your organisation’s service, your workforce and, where appropriate, the community. Your leadership is important in creating a learning and performance culture in the organisation which motivates managers and staff to be the best they can be and inspires people who use the service and the community with the confidence to get involved. Your role will involve working in partnership with leaders in other organisations and your ability to motivate and inspire collaborative leadership is also key.

Motivating and inspiring includes:

  • recognising, valuing and rewarding the contribution of people who use services and their carers, staff, managers, colleagues and partners
  • modelling positive leadership behaviours which inspire enthusiasm and confidence in others.
